Loyalty mechanics: what a marketer can set up alone

Discounts, bonuses, bundles, gifts, tiers and offers: what you can set up, what it looks like in an example and where it works — in the ERP module, in the web center or in both.

This page lists the loyalty mechanics a marketer sets up with rules, without a programmer: discounts and bonuses, bundles, gifts, tiers and offers for regular customers. We show only what already works. Amounts in the examples are illustrative.

Discounts

Discounts by group and customer

Own percentage for a card group or a specific customer, special price on a product. Example: the "Silver" group gets 5% on the whole receipt. Where: ERP module and web center.

Tiers and price scale

The percentage grows with quantity, amount or product price. Example: from 3 pieces — 5%, from 6 — 10%. Where: ERP module and web center.

Bundles and gifts

"Buy N, get M"

Every next item free or discounted. Example: buy two, the third is 50% off. Where: ERP module and web center.

Bundles and "N for the price of M"

A set at a fixed price or three for the price of two. A bundle applies only if it is better than regular discounts. Where: ERP module and web center.

Product pairs

A discount when both products are on the receipt. Example: coffee and biscuits together are 10% cheaper. Where: ERP module and web center.

Gift with purchase

A free item when a condition is met, for example a receipt total. Where: ERP module; the web center has the action, and how the gift is handed out at the till we settle in the project.

Bonuses and tiers

Bonuses per receipt and per line

A percentage of the receipt total or of selected products. Example: 3% back in bonuses on the amount paid. Where: ERP module and web center.

Visit multiplier

Every Nth visit earns more. Example: the fifth purchase of the month earns double bonuses. Where: ERP module and web center.

Validity and expiry

Bonuses have a lifetime. The app shows what expires soon and sends a reminder 7 days ahead. Where: ERP module and web center.

Status and tiers by turnover

A customer moves to a new tier by the amount spent over a period. Example: from 5,000 lei in six months — "Gold". Where: ERP module and web center.

Birthday window

The offer is valid on set days around the date. Example: −10% three days before and after. Where: ERP module and web center.

Messages, offers and analysis

Messages on the till screen and the receipt

A short text for the cashier or the customer at the right moment. Example: "Bonuses are double today". Where: ERP module and web center.

Offers in the app

A card with a banner, validity and products with old and new prices. Where: web center, app and marketer cabinet.

Mailings

To customer groups, now or on schedule, with quiet hours and "received and opened" statistics. Only to those who consented. Where: marketer cabinet.

Control group

Part of the customers does not get the offer, and the comparison shows its real effect. Where: ERP module and web center.

Reactivation on segment change

A customer becomes "at risk" and a rule with an offer starts. Where: ERP module; in the web center the segment can serve as a rule condition.

Discount, bonus or a mixed model

What you choose depends on the product and how often people buy. Example for one receipt of 1,000 lei (illustrative figures):

ModelWhat happens at the tillWhat the customer is left with
5% discountPays 950 leiA benefit now, no reason to come back
5% bonusPays 1,000 lei, 50 bonuses go to the accountA benefit later, the customer returns for the bonuses
Mixed3% card discount: pays 970 lei, plus 2% in bonuses (19.4)The discount attracts, the bonuses retain

In the web center discounts do not stack: the best one for the customer wins.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a programmer for a new offer?

No. A rule is built from an event, conditions and actions. The web center has 17 conditions and 11 actions, the ERP module 25 and 13.
